WW1 Royal Navy Submarine Service, 9ct Gold Submarine Boat Sweetheart Brooch.

A rare First World War period fine quality "Royal Navy Submarine Service" sweetheart brooch, hollow gold elongated surround, to which an applied raised submarine badge is seated, the reverse impressed "9ct" (9 carat gold) on a plinth. Good condition, retaining hook with a brass replacement pin fitting, complete with all masks, ring to accommodate a safety chain, some minor dents.
