WW1 Buckinghamshire Battalion White Faced Enamel Sweetheart Brooch

A very scarce original First World War period 'Buckinghamshire Battalion white faced enamel sweetheart brooch'; ornate gilt shield inlaid with white enamel, the central badge of the battalion a Crowned Maltese Cross in red enamel, the centre bearing the Swan of Buckinghamshire. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, the pin an old oversized replacement, no stress marks or damage to the enamel very minor firing flaw, gilt finish remains bright.
Height approx 30mm.
