HMS Arethusa 1915 Hallmarked Silver Anchor Brooch

A rare original First World War 1913 to 1916 short lived period 'H.M.S. Arethusa pin badge, in the form of a hollow silver anchor with an applied pierced letter title scroll the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1915 and maker's details 'R.P' (Robert Pringle & Sons London). Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, minor service wear. Length approx 40mm. Launched 1913, on the 11 February 1916, she struck a mine off Felixstowe, drifted onto a shoal while under tow, and broke her back.
