United We Stand Britain France Belgium Russia Japan flag brooch

A scarce and unusual Great War period patriotic flag badge depicting the allies flags of Britain, France, Belgium, Russia and Japan in coloured enamels, this surmounting a gilded circular disc with embossed figure of Britannia seated, the background with a scene of battleships and titled 'For Ever', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Toye & Co' and 'Regd 642269' a design and registration date of 1915. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
