Machine Gun Corps 1916 hallmarked silver sweetheart brooch

A rare First World War 'Machine Gun Corps regimental sweetheart brooch', a hollow silver horseshoe with an applied badge of crossed vickers guns surmounted by a crown, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1916 and maker's details 'F.N' (F Narborough, Birmingham). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no dents or distortions, an excellent example.
