A fine quality rare original First World War period '7th Battalion Manchester Regiment sweetheart brooch', in the form of a miniature floriated fleur-de-lys with heavy gold plated finish, mounted to a S.M.L.E rifle, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1915 and maker's details "A.Bros". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, complete with original rifle sling and all the gold plating to the front of the badge, a superb example. Width 51mm. Height 19mm.
