A scarce original circa 1950's period 'Desert Rats' brass and enamel example, in the form of a small red enamel Jerboa on black enamel ground, surmounted by horseshoe title "7th Armoured Divn". Good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, very minor surface scratches. Height 18mm. Originally formed in Egypt 1938; in December 1939 redesignated '7th Armoured Division' and its commander, Major General Sir Michael O'Moore Creagh, adopted the Jerboa as the divisional sign. The Jerboa was also worn by the 4th and 7th Armoured Brigades.

Very good condition, retaining original stick pin fitting complete with safety stop.
