A scarce Great War period fine quality 'Royal Naval Reserve gold and enamel brooch' on the style of the officer's cap badge; Crowned 'R.N.R' fouled anchor within laurel sprays mounted on a slender bar, the reverse impressed "9ct" (9 carat gold). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the red enamel crown (just light reflection on photograph).
A scarce First World War period 'Royal Naval Reserve' silver and convex tortoiseshell sweetheart brooch; Crowned laurel wreath, fouled anchor to the centre, "RNR" title scroll below, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1917 and maker's details "FRG" (F R Gomm Birmingham). Good condition, original pin fittings, good patina, badge very slightly lifting to the base, minor surface scratches.
