A very scarce example of a First World War period '15th King's Hussars white faced enamel sweetheart brooch'; ornate large gilt shield inlaid with white enamel, raised badge of the regiment to the centre enhanced with red and blue enamelling. Very good condition, retaining original pin fitting old professionally replaced catch, enamel perfect, scratch marks to reverse, gilt finish remains bright.
The 15th King's Hussars amalgamated with the 19th Hussars in 1922 to form 15th/19th Hussars.
