A superb and extremely rare ' 5th Royal Irish Lancers regimental brooch'; diamond Crowned circlet bearing the motto "Quis Separabit" and inlaid with pale blue enamel, numeral "5" to centre in diamonds, this in turn superimposed over crossed lance-pennons set with red and white stones. The brooch is complete with its original velvet lined fitted leather case with details to the inner lid "By appointment to H.M. The King" "The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd. 112, Regent Street, London, W.1". Immaculate condition. Height 30mm.

An extremely rare Victorian ' 5th Royal Irish Lancers regimental brooch'; unmarked hollow 'silver colour' example, the reverse bearing maker's details F.N (Frederick Narborough). It has been personally etched "1888 Geraldine Umiache? from Mournie". Superb condition, retaining original pin fittings. Diameter 43mm.
