A scarce original Great War period 'East Yorkshire Regiment gilt and enamel sweetheart brooch' the regimental badge bearing the 'Rose of York' mounted on a white enamel "Good Luck" horseshoe facing downward. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
A stunning First World War period 'East Yorkshire Regiment gold and diamond sweetheart brooch', rhodium plated 'Rose of York' set with small diamonds, within a laurel wreath applied to an eight pointed star with rich blue enamel title scroll below, the reverse with jewellers engraved "15ct" (15 carat gold). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, small enamel loss to scroll, otherwise an excellent example.
