A scarce original First World War period '16th County of London Battalion Queen's Westminster Rifles sweetheart brooch'; gilded brass example displaying the 'Arms of the City of Westminster' within the title circlet enhanced with blue enamelling. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, minor wear to gilding.
A scarce post-1922 '16th London Regiment (Queen's Westminster and Civil Service Rifles) Sweetheart brooch or Tiepin'; Crowned conjoined ovals, one bearing 'Westminster Portcullis' the other the 'Prince of Wales's Plumes' enhanced with blue and red enamelling and mounted on a slender bar; the reverse impressed "Silver". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect.
A scarce First World War fine quality large silver brooch, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1914, maker's details "B.H.J" (B H Joseph & Co, Birmingham) and retailer's details "Carrington & Co London". Very good condition, original pin fittings.
