Faith, Hope and Charity 1908 Hallmarked Silver Mizpah Heart Edwardian Antique Sweetheart Brooch.


A scarce Edwardian period very pretty piece of Christian jewellery; hollow silver ornate oblong bar, mounted with a heart bearing 'the Mizpah Benediction' "The Lord Watch Between Me & Thee When We Are Absent One From Another" on one side a tied bow on the other an anchor all enhanced with gold plated decoration to the highpoints; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmaks for 1908 and maker's details "S.Bros" Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, with all bauble decoration present.

A scarce unusual Victorian 'Mizpah hollow silver sweetheart brooch', conjoined leaves one inscribed 'Mizpah' with floral decoration in high relief enhanced with gold plating, the other with "The Lord Watch Between Me & Thee When We Are Absent One From Another", the reverse impressed with Chester silver hallmarks for 1885 and maker's details "A.J.C" (Alfred James Cheshire, Birmingham). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, old minor restoration to reverse where leaves join.
