A scarce First World War period Royal Warwickshire Regiment sweetheart brooch, sometimes called "Trench art" this commercially converted officer's gilt uniform button has been pinned and made into a locket, it is complete with an enamelled tin photograph of a young Lieutenant wearing a 1914 tunic and with "T" titles worn beneath the Warwickshire Regiment collar badges.
Very good condition, photograph remains clear, minor wear to original gilt finish.
