A fine quality First World War period 'Devonshire Regiment gold and enamel sweetheart brooch'; eight pointed star surmounted by a 'King's Crown', title circlet inlaid with blue enamel with 'Exeter Castle' to the voided centre; the reverse impressed "9ct" (9 carat gold). Excellent condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety catch in good working order, enamel perfect, (light reflection only on crown), an excellent example. Width 51mm. Height 24mm.
