Royal Flying Corps Pilot's Wing 10K Gold & Enamel Sweetheart Brooch by Canadian Maker.

A very unusual rare 'Royal Flying Corps gold and enamel brooch', a fine quality example made in two parts, bearing a small crowned laurel wreath inlaid with enamel, bold "RFC" initials to the centre and flanked by stout upturned wings; the reverse impressed "10K" and with maker's trade mark which looks like a beaver above an "L" set in an oval surround, which I believe to be Canadian. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety catch, no damage to the enamel, a superb example.
