An outstandingly beautiful brooch unmarked but of the very finest quality, set with thirty one diamonds and enhanced by a blue and white enamel motto scroll "Treu und Fest". Very good condition, original pin fittings incorporating safety catch, no damage to the enamel, all stones present.
11th Prince Albert's Own Hussars Paste Diamond Regimental Brooch
A rare fine quality rhodium plated crowned PAOH cypher (an old device of the regiment), profusely decorated with paste diamonds, good condition, original pin fittings incorporating safety catch, all stones present, red enamel backing to the crown with minor damage.
The 11th Light Dragoons furnished an escort for Prince Albert on his way to London to wed Queen Victoria in 1840. So impressed with the regiment, he became Honorary Colonel and directed the 11th become an hussar corps designated Prince Albert's Own Hussars (hence the use of the crowned PAOH cypher.

A scarce example, the reverse bearing Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1948 and with maker's details "JRG&S" J.R.Gaunt & Son. Very good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
